Summer Music Camp Dates in 2022

Camp starts at 9:30 AM and finishes at 3:30 PM. We also have aftercare available for interested families – just let us know.
Who Should Enroll in our Brooklyn Music Camps?
Our summer piano camp is intended for 6-12 year olds, and students usually fall into two categories:
- Those who haven’t started music lessons yet (beginners)
- Those who are still working through beginner piano books, like Faber level 1-2
It’s an excellent way for young pianists to get a head start on music before enrolling in lessons, meet new musically-minded friends, or keep the momentum going from their spring semester lessons.

Learn in an Immersive Music Camp Program
Immersive learning is effective in any discipline, and summer camp takes that into account. Your child will enjoy classes, lessons, games, and outdoor activities, all related to music for several hours each day, and they will be hanging out with other kids in the same situation – so musical conversations will also abound.
You will be amazed at what your child will be able to learn when they are in a fun musical environment from 9:30 – 3:300 for four days in a row!
Meet New Musical Friends
Positive peer pressure (or on a more positive note, encouragement from friends) is a powerful tool. In summer music camps at Williamsburg Music Studio, your child will meet other young pianists, make friends with children who have shared musical experiences, and find a community that will help them improve! The piano can be a lonely instrument, but our camps give your child a social outlet that is still highly educational and focused on excellence.
Keep Momentum Going During the Summer
If your child took piano lessons or classes during the spring semester, summer camp will keep their new knowledge fresh and top of mind. It will also give them motivation to continue practicing (perhaps the most important thing). Many parents want to give children a break from the weekly lesson routine over the summer, but this can be very risky! Kids will forget their notes, the keys on the piano, and the music they’ve learned. Furthermore, it’s very hard to get back into the habit of practicing once the summer ends. Our summer piano camps in Brooklyn help combat those tendencies.
Discover Music For the First Time
Not sure if your child would enjoy music lessons? Our camps help children discover the piano and music in general, and we’ve found that our students can’t wait to keep improving on what they’ve learned. Total beginners are more than welcome to attend, and you’ll be amazed at what they can learn in a week.
What To Expect: Class Size, Music and More Info
Firstly, our students have lots of time at the keyboard throughout the day. They will learn new songs and techniques, and piano sessions are placed throughout the day so fatigue won’t set in.
Secondly, our unique curriculum allows students to move through material at their own pace. Nobody will be left behind, and high performers won’t be “held back” by slower peers. All along the way, our teachers will spend lots of one-on-one time with your child – our class sizes are small for this reason.
Third, we include music-related games, listening activities, and plenty of movement throughout the day. Competitive students may particularly enjoy these activities, but the goal is for each student to be included and have fun. We also take the students outside (at Domino Sugar Park) throughout the day, weather permitting.
